THE MANDALA PROJECT - How it came to life

If you know someone whose day would be brightened by this Mandala, please pass it along! Even more magical, with a love note from you!

The Mandala Project: #21

This Mandala started on a morning dog walk when I noticed a stump beside the garbage can at the park that looked close enough to heart-shaped to spark my interest.

I’d found the little piece of greenery on the left earlier in the walk, and all the other moving parts were discovered within a 50 foot radius. The wood on the sides came from another decaying stump close by and the rocks were collected from several trips to the gravel field under the monkey bars just down the hill.

The next morning a neighbour texted this:

“Good morning Liz! Saw this at the park today and wondered if you made it? It's beautiful 💞”.

The greenery was gone in her photo, but otherwise everything was still intact. It’s the first time someone who knew of the mission spotted one in the wild and connected the dots.

Yay for magic. :-)

It lasted one more day until a group of kids played through the space and scattered its bits far and wide…

Bonus content

Here’s 6 seconds of the-world-being-charming that I happened upon on the way home from building this mandala.

Roxy’s my favourite neighbourhood dog. All heart. She was out taking herself for a walk, as she’s wont to do.

And this kiddo’s not a member of her immediate pack, but def a solid partner in mischief.
