THE MANDALA PROJECT - How it came to life

If you know someone whose day would be brightened by this Mandala, please pass it along! Even more magical, with a love note from you!

The Mandala Project: #19

Some mornings just a quick lap around the ‘hood leads to something lyrical.

In order of finds, here’s what appeared during this morning’s walk:

  • heart-shaped rock

  • dandelion leaves

  • frond leaf

  • spruce branch

  • fanned out wood chips in a fallen conifer base

Love how the things already in place added to the magic in this one: the warm tones in the tree trunk offering a vibrant platform to create on, the long grasses weaving through the wood’s fault lines, the tri-petalled resident plant poking its head out to investigate, and the tiny dandelion leaves perking up to greet the new arrivals.

One of the most surprising and consistent teachings of these mandalas is how, when gathered with intention, brought together with care and presented with the opportunity, seemingly separate “things” come into effortless relationship with each other.

THE MANDALA PROJECT

I’m posting one new Mandala every Monday with a few words about how it came to be, and the challenges that arose or insights that emerged in its creation.

Check back here to see the new ones, or subscribe below if you’d like to receive them as soon as they’re live in the world!
